#0102 Manhattan Bridge Tower #3

Almost the exact same composition as the Manhattan Bridge Tower #2 painting, only the canvas is a slightly different shape and the painting was done in the late afternoon/early evening hours. The late afternoon falling sun gives a different feel to things and I was trying to capture that certain emptiness and deserted feeling that comes when dusk arrives. The stream of light coming through the bridge I felt added a great dramatic element as well as a ray of hope in a somewhat desolate and heavy environment.
