#0114 Dog on the Bed
An early morning painting done in my house. I wanted to accentuate the horizontal shape of the canvas so the composition was based on the horizontal lines of the windowsill and the bed and nightstand. Objects were added to fill out the composition, such as pillows, blankets and book. Our dog Sadie did her usual morning routine of leaping on the bed and I thought she helped balance the picture so instead of telling her to get off, I let her stay. Size: 5'x 5'
