#0123 Bedroom Corner with Mirror and Plant
This painting is a continuation of the idea in the studio-corner ceiling painting of enlarging the scale and painting the relationships among shapes as opposed to isolating and defining objects. The work gets a little complicated with the mirror in the middle, which gives the impression of having a painting within a painting. I liked the interaction I was getting with the strong verticals of the architecture juxtaposed with the diagonals of the cast shadows. The eucalyptus at the bottom left, the vase and reflected circular tabletop were put in to offset the dominance of so many vertical lines. Size: 3' x 4'
