#0124 Studio Corner Detail
I have been looking at this particular section of the studio for a number of years wondering why I found it interesting. A definite idea never came but I decided to paint it anyway. In composing it I felt the painting was more about the interaction of shapes and angles than it was about a specific subject matter, and in blowing up the scale, that idea becomes even more accentuated. The two key elements that I feel make the painting interesting are the fact that the sky is at the bottom of the canvas and the red pipe that shoots in from the left but stops just short from going off at the right.
