#0126 Broken Pier
Behind my studio on the East River there is an old broken pier with jutting rotten timbers and broken concrete slabs. I felt this area would provide a good vehicle for continuing my exploration of the relationships between objects. Dropping my line of vision so as to eliminate the horizon line I tried to focus on how objects interact with each other through light and space. I liked the idea of being able to see underneath a lot of the objects because of the way it is built. The rusted magenta pipes and spikes add a decorative element to what is basically a painting of stone, wood, and water.
