A friend of mine let me paint in her backyard, which as you can see has quite a spectacular view of Lake Ontario. It is an early morning painting done in late summer. I liked the idea of the piece, which is about trying to get through the wild yet beautiful greenery to see a clear and pristine horizon, which represents past, present, and future.
